Terms & Conditions.

These terms and conditions outline the agreement between Dript Plumbing Solutions and our customers for all plumbing services provided. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms. 

1. Quotes & Pricing
1.1 All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
1.2 Quotes are based on the information provided and may be subject to change if additional work or materials are required.
1.3 Variations to quotes: If the scope of work changes due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., hidden pipework, underground obstructions, or additional materials required), a revised quote will be issued for approval.
1.4 Emergency and after-hours callouts may incur additional fees.

1.5 Jobs will not commence unless a signed copy of the quote has been returned by the customer, indicating acceptance of the terms and scope of work.

2. Payment Terms
2.1 A 50% deposit is required prior to the commencement of work to secure materials and schedule the job.
2.2 Deposits must be paid at least 48 hours in advance to allow time for funds to clear.
2.3 The remaining 50% balance is due within 7 days of job completion.
2.4 For emergency services or small maintenance jobs (under $1000), full payment is required upon completion.
2.5 Accepted payment methods include Cash, EFT, Bank Transfer, and Credit Card.
2.6 All materials supplied remain the property of Dript Plumbing Solutions until full payment is received. 

3. Non-Refundable Deposits & Call-Out Fees
3.1 All deposits are non-refundable, as they secure materials, scheduling, and project planning.
3.2 A $50 call-out fee may be charged for jobs located outside standard service areas or for assessment visits. This fee is non-refundable if the customer decides not to proceed with the quoted work.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
4.1 Customers must provide at least 5 working days’ notice in writing for cancellations. Failure to do so will result in the deposit being forfeited, or if no deposit has been paid, a cancellation fee of 10% of the quoted amount will be charged.
4.2 We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, supplier delays, or emergencies.

5. Workmanship & Warranty
5.1 We proudly guarantee our workmanship for life.
5.2 Warranty for products and materials supplied by Dript Plumbing Solutions is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty and their specific terms and conditions.
5.3 Exclusions from warranty:

  • Customer-supplied materials.

  • High-wear components (e.g., tap washers, seals, O-rings).

  • Blocked drains caused by foreign objects, tree roots, or misuse.

  • Damage resulting from water pressure fluctuations, environmental factors, or structural movement.

  • Issues arising from pre-existing plumbing infrastructure beyond the scope of our work.

5.4 Warranty claims must be reported within the warranty period for assessment 

6. Liability & Limitations
6.1 While we take every precaution, Dript Plumbing Solutions is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages.

  • Pre-existing faults in the plumbing system.

  • Unforeseen issues such as underground obstructions, structural defects, or hidden pipework.

6.2 Customers must ensure clear and safe access to the work area.

7. Site Access
7.1 Customers must ensure that Dript Plumbing Solutions has uninterrupted access to the site.
7.2 If access is restricted or delayed, additional costs may apply.
7.3 We are not responsible for damage to landscaping, flooring, or walls caused during access to pipes or infrastructure unless due to negligence.

8. Maintenance & Customer Responsibilities
8.1 Customers must follow care and maintenance guidelines for installed systems, including:

  • Regularly cleaning and maintaining fixtures and components.

  • Replacing consumable parts (e.g., filter cartridges, seals) as recommended.

  • Scheduling routine servicing for hot water units and water filtration systems.

  • Reporting issues promptly to prevent further damage.

8.2 Dript Plumbing Solutions will not be held liable for failures caused by customer neglect or misuse.

9. Blocked Drains & Buried Services
9.1 The presence of plant/tree root growth or blockages may indicate damaged pipes. No warranty is provided for future blockages in such cases.
9.2 If CCTV equipment becomes lodged in a faulty drain, the customer is responsible for its removal or replacement costs.
9.3 Dript Plumbing Solutions is not liable for damage to buried or unseen services. Customers must provide accurate site plans for underground pipes and cables. 

10. Risk & Title
10.1 Risk in materials passes to the customer upon delivery/installation.
10.2 Title to materials remains with Dript Plumbing Solutions until full payment is received.

11. Variations

11.1 If a variation to the original scope of work is required, a Variation Order will be issued outlining the additional work and associated costs. A signed copy of the Variation Order must be returned before any variation work will commence.

11.2 Payment for variations is required in full prior to commencement, unless the total variation cost exceeds $1,000, in which case a deposit may be made, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the variation work.

12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
12.2 Any disputes will be resolved under the legal jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
